Why Patient Advocacy?

What is a Patient Advocate?

Often when a patient receives a life-altering diagnosis all else goes out of the window. They may feel overwhelmed, lost, or helpless.

A Patient Advocate is very useful in these situations.

  • They can make sure the right questions are being asked.

  • They will also ensure the patient is heard and assist all parties in decision-making.

Although a Patient Advocate can not make decisions or diagnoses, they will be there by the patient's side every step of the journey.
